Add, edit, copy and export the employer brands you post for.
Employer profiles are how you manage the employer brands you post roles on behalf of. You can add, edit, copy, search, export and bulk-remove them, and removing one moves its existing roles to another employer or to your parent company rather than losing them. Franchise networks and outplacement teams gain most.
What employer profiles give you
Plenty of organisations post roles that are not strictly their own. A franchise head office posts for its sites, an agency posts for its clients, a careers team posts on behalf of employer partners. Employer profiles make that a managed list rather than a naming convention people half remember.
- Add, edit and copy employer profiles, so a similar brand does not have to be set up from scratch.
- Search across them, which starts to matter well before the list gets long.
- Export the list in one click, alongside the rest of your one-click data export.
- Bulk-remove profiles you no longer need.
- Removing a profile moves its existing roles to another employer or to your parent company, so nothing is orphaned.
- Choosing or adding the employer when posting happens in a focused dialog rather than behind a greyed-out form.
What it means for your community
Members see who they would actually be working for. A role attributed to a recognisable employer brand, with that employer's logo on it, reads as a real opportunity in a way that a role attributed to the organisation running the board does not.
For a franchise network this is the difference between a shift that looks like it came from head office and one that clearly belongs to a named site. Staff decide whether to take work partly on where it is and who they would be reporting to, and burying that behind a single umbrella name costs uptake.
An outplacement provider has a trust version of the same issue. Candidates are being asked to believe the roles in front of them are genuine, at a point when their confidence is already low. Roles that carry the actual employer, and that share properly when forwarded because share images include the employer logo, do that work quietly.
What it means for your team
Housekeeping stops being risky. The reason employer records tend to accumulate is that nobody dares delete one in case it takes live roles with it. Reassigning roles on removal means you can tidy the list without an audit first, and bulk removal makes that a job of minutes rather than an afternoon.
Copying a profile matters more than it sounds too. Organisations that onboard employer brands regularly are usually entering near-identical details each time, and copying an existing one removes most of that. Combined with role access controls set at company level, a new employer brand can be added and inherit the right defaults without anyone configuring it twice.
Employers can also be invited to join and post roles themselves, managing their own staff, with your team reviewing applications or posting on their behalf where that suits better. If you charge employers to post, there is no revenue share, and details are on the pricing page, correct as at July 2026.
Export is worth knowing about for a less obvious reason. Employer relationships are often the most valuable thing a careers or placement team builds, and they are usually the least well recorded, living in individual inboxes. Having the employer list exportable in one click means that relationship map exists somewhere outside one person's head, which matters when that person moves on.
What happens to roles when we remove an employer profile?
They are moved, not deleted. On removal you choose another employer profile or your parent company to take them on, and the roles carry over with their applications and history intact. That is the point of the design, because the alternative is an employer list that only ever grows because nobody is willing to risk pruning it.
Getting started
Employer profiles are managed under Manage Company, and the employer selector appears when posting or editing a role. The marketplace admin guide walks through posting on behalf of an employer and the knowledge base covers export. The change is recorded in the employer profiles changelog entry.
If you post for multiple brands, the job board for franchise operations and job board for outplacement services pages cover the model further. Spacewalk runs a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and a board goes live in about an hour.
