FOR EMPLOYERS

Fill your roles from a community that already knows your industry

Learn how to hire through a job board you have been invited to join, from posting your first role to reviewing applicants.
Where you have landed

You have been invited to a job board

It is run by an organisation whose community you want to hire from. You post your roles yourself and receive applications directly to review and hire

Run by an organisation

A training provider, industry body, membership organisation or fund, branded to them.

Seen by their community

The people who see your role are already connected to that organisation.

Posted by you, directly

No intermediary. Your roles, your applicants, your hiring decision.

Read more about what Spacewalk does for the organisation running the board or see job boards run by education and training providers, career services organisations and communities.

The advantage

Why hire here

Your role reaches the right people the moment you post it

Spacewalk matches every new role against the talent pool and instantly notifies the members whose skills and preferences fit it.

Members can actually find your role

Every role carries structured skills, location and work type details that feed the board's filters.

A defined community, not an open job board

Everyone who sees your role has a connection to the organisation running the board.

Applications arrive where you want them

Receive them in Spacewalk or send applicants straight through to your own application system.

Three steps

How it works

1

Join the board

Accept your invitation, update your company profile and add fellow admins.

2

Post a role

Add it yourself or paste a link. Choose where applications go.

3

Review and hire

Matched members are notified and apply. Review with your team and hire.

The difference

A fresh alternative to SEEK, Indeed, LinkedIn and large job boards

Those boards are built for the mass market. A careers hub job board works the other way round.

  • Your role reaches a defined community connected to the organisation running the board, not the open market
  • Members are matched on skills and instantly notified, so the right people see it quickly
  • Your role sits among curated, relevant roles rather than competing with thousands of listings
  • You control who can see it, including restricting to board members
  • Applications come to you on the board or go straight through to your own ATS (your choice)

Two ways to publish

Post a role to a job board

Choose how you want to create each role. Both methods unlock the same features and you can post any role type, from permanent and fixed-term through to contract, casual and short briefs.

Fill in the fields

Post it yourself

A structured form with core information, role types, skills picker, payment range, screening questions and visibility controls. Save drafts or publish instantly.

Paste a URL

Let the AI importer do it

Paste any role URL and the importer pre-fills the title, description, skills, location, type, hours and experience level. Review, tweak, publish. Available where the organisation has enabled it.

Whichever method you choose, every posted role unlocks:

Custom fields
Screening questions
Access controls per role
Employer branding
Send applicants to your ATS
Any role type
No charge to post each role
Review applications
Unlimited admins

Some of this depends on how the organisation has configured its board, so what you see may differ a little from one board to the next.

TALENT SEARCH (Coming soon)

Search your talent pool and contact suitable people directly, without posting a role.

After they apply

Reviewing applicants

You are notified as soon as someone applies, and you review with your team rather than in your inbox.

  • Profile and skills match against your role
  • Cover note, CV and screening answers where they apply
  • Notes and hiring status as each applicant progresses
  • Add your own colleagues to review alongside you
  • Applications stay accessible after the role closes

Keep your own process

Or send applicants to your own ATS

If you already use an ATS you can use it too:

  • Put your own application form or ATS link in the Apply link
  • Anyone pressing Apply is then directed to your ATS
  • Your role still benefits from the listing reach and notifications
  • You can review applications submitted on your own system

CREATE a CAREERS PAGE

Use Spacewalk as your own careers page

On most careers pages visitors who don't apply just leave.

On a Spacewalk-powered careers page visitors can also join your talent pool, to get instantly notified about roles.

  • Branded to you and linked from your own website
  • Lists all your vacancies and share links externally
  • Receive and review applications with the hiring team
  • Interested people can join, building your talent pool
  • Fill new vacancies, including from your talent pool
  • Save on paid channels and recruiter fees

This is all available on our Starter plan, which includes unlimited admins.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost me to post a role?

Each organisation sets its own terms for the board it runs, so some invite employers to post at no charge and others charge a posting fee. Check with the organisation that invited you. Spacewalk takes no share of any posting fee the organisation charges.

Who sees my roles?

That depends on how the organisation has set up its board. A board can be public, private or invitation only, and you can also set access controls on an individual role, including requiring board membership to view it.

Can my colleagues have access?

Yes. Employers on a board manage their own staff, so you can add colleagues to join as admins, post roles and review applicants alongside you. You can invite unlimited admins.

Can I use my own application review process?

Yes. Put your own application form or ATS link in the role's Apply link and applicants go straight there to apply. Applications submitted on your own system stay on your own system.

What happens to applications when the role closes?

You keep them. Closing a role does not remove its applications, so you still have access to every applicant and their details for that role.

Can I also use Spacewalk as our careers page?

Yes. A Spacewalk board can be your own branded careers page, linked from your website, listing all your vacancies and taking applications, with the added benefit that interested people can join and become a candidate talent pool. This is covered by the Starter plan.

How do I get started?

If an organisation has invited you to its board, accept the invitation and post your first role. If you want your own careers page, start a free trial or talk to us.
